Story
Since working for Westfund I have seen some obsene ambulance accounts for a distance of less than 100m I can only imagine how much it costs to take a ride in the chopper. To be able to do this ride and raise money to help keep ALL patient transports in the Westpac Rescue Chopper FREE, I am honored (and scared sh*tless).
I haven't been unlucky enough to need this service but many where I live have. We need to keep this service running and free for everyone, regardless of if you do or don't have ambulance insurance.
I've already had one fall, thought I busted my knee and popped a bone out in my elbow. Instead I just gave some walkers behind me a fright, my fellow training buddies a scare and completely emarrased myself, but we all had a good laugh in the end.
